Hotel advantages: In the historic quarter of Alicante, 300 meters from Postiguet Beach you will find the five-star hotel Hospes Amerigo. There are many beautiful attractions in the area within walking distance, beautiful views from the lounge bar, free rooftop spa with sauna, pool, and gym. Spacious rooms with high ceilings, luxurious interior, and all the necessary amenities await you, there is private parking.

Negative reviews: There are complaints of unfriendly staff and shabby interior of the hotel rooms, unpleasant smells. The nearest car park may not have enough space during the active season, as it is small in size.

Ahoy Apartments

The pros: Ahoy Apartments has a convenient location near the beach and close to central Alicante. There is a large terrace overlooking the sea or the city, private parking, and the rooms have a full kitchen unit with everything you need for self-cooking. If necessary, use the laundry facilities, or business centre equipment, outdoor pool – a great option for settling in for a few days, or weeks.

The cons: The first thing you should pay attention to, that hotel location is far away from the airport (about 30 km along the highway). This problem can be solved by using the transfer for a fee. The beautiful view of the sea, according to the reviews, worsens the view of the slums in front of the hotel. There are standard complaints about the quality of cleaning and minor household issues.

The pros: A good four-star hotel according to Booking.com. Great location in the centre, close to the beach and main attractions of Alicante, large nice looking and comfortable rooms, with everything you need to stay comfortably. We would note the good breakfast, in the form of a buffet, and the free fitness center.

The cons: This is a brand-new hotel, opening to the public in early 2022. There are not enough reviews, you can share your impressions about Eurostars Pórtico Alicante if you have any experience.

Alicante Center Apart

The pros: Alicante Center Apart is a modern apartment hotel in the centre of Alicante and close to the Central Market and Postiguet Beach (about 700 meters). There is parking, and good living conditions. There is a decent restaurant at the bottom of the building, and a full kitchen in the apartments, where you can provide full meals on your own. Without a mandatory prepayment, you can cancel the prepayment without a financial loss, which, of course, is an additional advantage when choosing a place to stop.

The cons: On the street, where this hotel is located a lot of night pubs, it leads to a lot of noise, does not give the opportunity to sleep. Also, people complain about minor domestic problems, pointing to the need for cosmetic repairs and replacement of some small appliances in the rooms.

S30 Reina Victoria

The pros: S30 Reina Victoria is a cosy, spacious and comfortable apartment hotel with its own full kitchen and everything you need for a good stay. It is a good option for a longer stay than 1-2 days. The beach can be reached on your own feet in just 10-15 minutes. Also, the airport is less than 10 kilometres from the centre. Free Wi-Fi, safe and continental breakfast are included.

The cons: The hotel apparently needs plumbing repairs, as there are many reviews about the poor performance of the jacuzzi and the quality of the other plumbing. There are uncomfortable rooms with high noise levels from the downstairs bar. Do not recommend them if you appreciate the quietness.

Alicante is a beautiful and relatively quiet Spanish city. It is surrounded by mountains on one side and the sea on the other. Cosy restaurants and bars, beautiful architecture and many historical sites will make your stay here for tourists unforgettable.
